Help us save them.
We call them purple heart dogs. We save them and in turn they save our service men.
During their 4-6 month training process in our main Training Camp in Florida, dogs are taught to respond to the special disabilities of their owner. Once their human partner has been selected, they work together in a regimented training schedule with their Inmate trainer or Volunteer trainer to include commands that will lessen anxiety and depression, decrease dependence upon pain medications, provide sociability and provide a positive outlook and a mission-driven focus and renewed sense of purpose. They have found a new steadfast, loving companion service dog that will listen to their problems during their recovery and give them the security of knowing that their dog is there to help them any time it is needed.
